Reflection unit 3

The past few weeks we have been working on how to assess the four skills in a class, using different activities, methods, or techniques through a lesson plan.  In this unit we recognize the important of having an instrument to evaluate our students, having a rubric were we can rely on to score our student’s performance, this assessment can make our life simpler in our future as teachers. At the end of the unit we can identify the different types of rubrics and the different types of testing we can use to our students. Also we learnt the suitable activities, assessment and rubrics to use for each skill, for example we can assess speaking using informal assessment and by eliciting answers of the students. The types of testing are very important to know, in order to give a specific and objective score; as a teacher it will be a great resource to rely on. A factor that come together with all the evaluation stage is the organization of the activities, this is ordering and form the activities to know how and when the student need to learnt each activity and skill.
